Short on time? Cook up a batch and keep left over quinoa in the fridge. It keeps beautifully for several days. Cold quinoa makes a great salad base, but you can reheat it in the microwave (sprinkle a few drops of water over it before so that it doesn’t dry out) or stir fry it in a pan with vegetables etc.

Basic Cooking:

As it is the best quality quinoa, you do not need to rinse it before cooking but feel free to do so for an extra smooth taste. Servings are approximately 80g per person for a main dish, but it obviously depends on how much other stuff you are cooking with it. The seeds are round and small but once cooked, they swell, become translucent and a small germ pops up. A bit like the punky hair on our Quinola super grains Alice and Oscar. Ready in 12 to 20 minutes depending on the colour and desired texture.

Boil in water and drain, or if you prefer the absorption method cook one part quinoa with two parts water.

Recipes:

Hot or cold, as a starter, main course or dessert: there are multiple ways to eat quinoa. Quinoa offers an interesting alternative to all those who are looking for a varied and healthy diet.
