Every month we will be introducing you to the farmers and their families who live and work at 4,000m just north of Lake Titicaca, sharing with you all aspects of their everyday lives, from their favourite quinoa recipes to their dreams for the future.

Favourite dish: black quinoa and fish; her secret recipe is to cook black quinoa in oil and water for an hour, adding water every ten minutes, and then add a bit of milk and cheese to the mix before serving with fresh water fish that she fries in oil.
