Elisabeth is 33. Though it doesn’t really show, she’s scared of pictures. All her life she lived in Cabana, precisely in its fields. She used to find refuge there after school. In fact, she pursued her education because nothing pleased her more than working the land. She has 3 children of 3, 5 and 6 years old, and all of them go to preschool. They join her in the fields as soon as the day is done. Her husband is busy with livestock, raising cows and sheep. Just like most of the Peruvian farmers, Elisabeth’s family’s favorite food is “Pesque”, a blend of quinoa, milk and homemade cheese.
